With over nine minutes to go in the game, how did the offense respond? Very well. [Quarterback Brandon Weeden] and company drove the ball 94 yards for a game-sealing touchdown, as RB Trent Richardson punched it in with just under four minutes to play.
The Browns were up 13-10 when the drive began, and the 14-play march ate up over six minutes of game time. The touchdown re-established a two-score lead for Cleveland, and with just 3:27 to play, the Raiders didn’t have enough time to close the margin. Oakland managed a last-minute touchdown to narrow the deficit, but the Raiders could not recover the onside kick, and that ended their chances.
Cleveland finished the game with 475 total yards of offense, and Weeden threw for 364 yards, which is his highest total of the season. The Browns have won two games in a row to improve their record to 4-8, though they still sit in last place in the AFC North.
