The Seahawks are 7-0 at home this season and will attempt to stay perfect there when they host the St. Louis Rams on Sunday.
Seattle clinched a spot in the playoffs last week, but the Seahawks are still playing for a shot at the NFC West and a possible first-round bye. If Green Bay and San Francisco lose and the Seahawks win, Seattle will be the No. 2 seed in the NFC. A win could also net the Seahawks the NFC West title and a home playoff game if just the 49ers lose. Seattle is also attempting to complete a perfect season at home. The Seahawks are 7-0 at home this season and a win would clinch their first undefeated home season since 2005.
The Rams are out of playoff contention, but St. Louis does have a chance to do something it hasn’t since 2003. At 7-7-1, a win would give the Rams their first season with a record better than .500 since the 2003 Rams went 12-4. A midseason swoon ultimately knocked St. Louis from contention, but the Rams have been playing well lately. St. Louis has won four of its last five games, three of which came on the road. Playing at Seattle is a difficult challenge, but the Rams have not lost a road game since Week 6.
St. Louis won the first meeting between the teams this season, a 19-13 victory in which Seattle's Russell Wilson threw three interceptions.
