Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon left the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday because of an ankle injury, and after the Browns' leading receiver was carted off the field, it was announced that his return was questionable.

Cleveland Browns receiver Josh Gordon injured his ankle in the first half against the Pittsburgh Steelers and won’t return.


At halftime, the team downgraded his status to being out.
Gordon left the game before the halftime break with the Browns outgaining the Steelers, 175-99. He was leading Cleveland with four catches for 39 yards, but he also fumbled the ball once to give the Steelers possession. Pittsburgh led, 10-3, at the half after Gordon was targeted seven times by quarterback Thaddeus Lewis, who made his first career start because of injuries to rookie Brandon Weeden and backup Colt McCoy.
On the year, Gordon has 46 receptions for 766 yards to lead Cleveland in receiving yards this season. He has played in every game this year and recorded at least one catch in each.
