The Buffalo Bills defense stifled the New York Jets on Sunday at Ralph Wilson Stadium, keeping them out of the end zone en route to a 28-9 Bills victory to close out the season.

The Buffalo Bills finished the 2012 season with a 28-9 victory over the New York Jets behind strong efforts from Ryan Fitzpatrick and C.J. Spiller. Both teams finish the season 6-10.

The Jets got on the board first with a field goal, but a Mark Sanchez interception returned 20-yards for a touchdown by Bryan Scott put Buffalo ahead 7-3 at the end of the first quarter.
Two more field goals put New York ahead briefly in the second quarter, but a 66-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick to C.J. Spiller game the Bills a lead they would not relinquish for the rest of the contest.
Rushing touchdowns by Brad Smith and Tashard Choice helped Buffalo extend the lead in the fourth quarter.
Nick Folk scored all nine points for the Jets, connecting on field goals of 47, 23 and 28 yards.
The Bills victory means that both teams finish the 2012 season with 6-10 records.
Winners: The Buffalo duo of Ryan Fitzpatrick and C.J. Spiller carried the Bills to victory. Fitzpatrick completed 12 passes for 225 yards and a touchdown. Spiller rushed for 59 yards and caught two passes for 72 yards and a touchdown.
Losers: Mark Sanchez's rough season came to an end with another weak performance. The New York quarterback completed 17 of 35 passes for 205 yards and had his one interception returned for a touchdown.

Fantasy studs/duds: Spiller put in a good fantasy performance with 131 total yards and a touchdown, but his one fumble did hurt his point total. Steve Johnson led all receivers with 111 yards on six catches. Anyone starting the Bills defense was also happy with their fantasy production, holding New York to nine points while forcing a pair of turnovers.
