With a number of firings around the NFL on Monday, the next step for NFL teams is to seek out potential replacements. While Baltimore Ravens assistant general manager Eric DeCosta was thought to be one of the more sought after general manager candidates, he said Monday he has no intentions to leave Baltimore.

Ravens assistant general manager Eric DeCosta was thought to be one of the top general manager candidates, but he said he has no intentions of leaving Baltimore.

“I love being a part of the Ravens and plan to stay here and help them win championships. I have no intentions of leaving this team,” DeCosta said, via Adam Caplan.
DeCosta has long been rumored to be one of the top general manager candidates and figured to have plenty of interest. Five general managers have already been fired Monday and according to Caplan, multiple NFL teams contacted the Ravens seeking permission to interview DeCosta.
The Jacksonville Jaguars, Cleveland Browns, New York Jets, Arizona Cardinals and San Diego Chargers are all in the market for a new general manager after making a move on Monday. DeCosta joined the Ravens in 1996 and has served in a variety of roles with the team. In addition to being the assistant general manager, he's also served as the director of player personnel and director of college scouting. He began his career as a player personnel assistant.
