Chargers vs. Steelers: Ben Roethlisberger’s not enough for Pittsburgh

Roethlisberger threw at least three touchdown passes in a game for the third time this season. He now has 20 touchdown passes to five interceptions in 10 games played this season.

Fantasy Impact: Roethlisberger made an immediate return to fantasy relevance, despite the losing effort by the Steelers. He appears to be a safe starting fantasy option going forward. He showed no lasting ill effects from the injury.

Alexander has been on a tear since Week 10. He has caught five touchdowns over his last five games, and has not had less than 74 yards receiving in any game over that span. He has seen double-digit targets in three of his last four games.

Sunday’s game was Rivers’ third this season with three touchdown passes. He now has 18 touchdown passes to 13 interceptions on the season.

Fantasy Impact: Rivers is having trouble putting up the big passing numbers that fantasy owners had been accustomed to in past seasons. He has found a favorite target, however. Alexander has looked like a bona-fide No. 1 wide receiver in recent weeks, boosting Rivers’ fantasy value and helping out the Chargers’ offense immensely.

Ben is a fine QB2 play for the rest of the season as the Steelers fight for a playoff spot.
