The Seattle Seahawks sent a 2010 fourth-round draft pick and a conditional sixth-round pick to the Buffalo Bills in a trade for running back Marshawn Lynch. According to the Bills' official website, that conditional sixth-round pick has turned into a fifth-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. Lynch rushed 573 yards for the Seahawks during his first season with the team in 2010, but made his biggest impact in the playoffs. Lynch continued to improve in the 2011 season, rushing for 1,204 yards with 12 rushing touchdowns and being named to the Pro Bowl.

Lynch was originally drafted by the Bills with the 12th overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft and rushed for over 1,000 yards in his first two seasons as a pro. Lynch’s production went off a cliff after the 2008 season however, as Lynch was suspended for the first three games of the 2009 season by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell for misdemeanor weapons charges in the offseason. Lynch rushed for just 450 yards in 2009 on the season and then was traded to Seattle during the 2010 season after just four games.
