Bill Polian Will Become A Talking Head On ESPN

As an executive with the Indianapolis Colts for over a decade, Bill Polian often railed against the "talking heads" in the media who talked about his team, especially in 2011 as the Colts season drained on as one of the worst in franchise history.

After he was fired by Colts owner Jim Irsay, Polian became a talking head and took a gig with Sirius XM NFL Radio.

And now he has another media job -- ESPN.

Sports Business Journal reports ESPN has hired Polian as an analyst and his first day is March 12, one day before the start of free agency in the NFL.

And you know who the biggest free agent is?

Peyton Manning, of course. Strategic move by ESPN to hire one of the few people who has had an up-close look at Manning in the past year.
