The Denver Broncos may be without running back Knowshon Moreno for the beginning of the 2012 NFL season after he was arrested for DUI last week, The Denver Post reports. He was reportedly going 75 mph on a road that's normally a 65-mph speed limit, but the limit was reduced to 45 mph due to construction.
Knowshon Moreno Arrested For Drunk Driving
Broncos RB Knowshon Moreno was arrested for drunk driving last week in Denver while riding a Bentley with unfortunate vanity plate.
The real gem of the story is an interesting little nugget:
The personalized license plate on the car read “SAUCED,” according to TV station KDVR-31.
Moreno drives — or “drove,” as may soon be the case — a Bentley, so having a license plate personalized with slang for “I’ve had a few too many,” on a wildly expensive car probably wasn’t the wisest of ideas, in retrospect.
The Broncos said they were “thoroughly reviewing the matter,” according to the Post. Moreno and his agent are thoroughly reviewing options for alternative vanity plates.
