New York Jets wide receiver Plaxico Burress is set to become an unrestricted free agent after playing his first season back in the NFL since 2008. Burress had a better season that most expected with the Jets, ending the year with 45 receptions, 612 receiving yards, and 8 touchdown receptions. After proving to the rest of the league that he could get back after a long layoff and be effective, Burress wants to play for the Philadelphia Eagles according to a report.

According to Eskin, Eagles head coach Andy Reid had several conversations with Burress last offseason and thought about bringing him to the Eagles. “I do believe the Eagles will take a hard look at signing Plaxico Burress,” Eskin said.
