NFL defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth told ESPN's Josina Anderson that he still wants to play in the NFL and wants to prove he's the best player at his position.
Free Agent Albert Haynesworth Ready To Be The ‘Best DT In Football’
Free agent Albert Haynesworth says he still wants to play next season in the NFL.

“Yeah of course. I still love the game of football. If you can get in the right situation, it would be good for any team and for me. I’m just looking to get back on top and to be the best defensive tackle in football.”
Haynesworth was traded to the New England Patriots from the Washington Redskins before the 2011 season. He was subsequently released in November days after a confrontation with assistant coach Pepper Johnson. He was picked up by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers off waivers, but was released again on February 15.
The two-time former All-Pro has spent the last few years as the butt of jokes after severely failing to meet expectations and running afoul of the law on multiple occasions. He signed a seven-year, $100 million contract with the Redskins in 2008 but failed to come close to fulfilling the demands of it.
Haynesworth has 344 tackles and 30.5 sacks in ten NFL seasons.
