Logan Mankins Expected To Be Ready For Training Camp, According To Report

It was reported on Monday that New England Patriots guard Logan Mankins underwent surgery following Super Bowl XLVI in order to repair a torn ACL.

According to the Rap Sheet at BostonHerald.com Sports, the injury and subsequent surgery should not require Mankins to miss substantial time, if any at all. The guard apparently unknowingly had his ACL partially torn during the Super Bowl, but he was able to play anyway. Although there is no timetable for his return, the Rap Sheet was told that he will definitely be ready for Patriots training camp in late July.

This is certainly great news for the Patriots, as they’ll be retaining a significant contributor to their offensive line. Mankins was the recipient of New England’s 2011 franchise tag before signing a six-year deal last August.
