Goodson has just 125 career carries in three seasons with the Panthers. He has been effective when given the rock, however. He averaged 4.4 yards per carry in 2010 when he played extensively due to injuries to DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart. The Raiders were desperately thin at running back after losing Michael Bush to the Chicago Bears in free agency.
Campbell, meanwhile, is a young, ultra-athletic offensive tackle that could see playing time on a Panthers line that struggled to protect quarterback Cam Newton at times. At the very least, he is a nice development project with the potential to be a starter down the road. The team signed Mike Tolbert in the offseason to further boost the running game.
