After his latest run-in with the law, an arrest on burglary, theft and drug charges on Friday, legendary NFL bust Ryan Leaf took to Twitter to release a personal statement:
Ryan Leaf Releases Statement Following Arrest For Drug, Theft Charges
“I’ve made sum mistakes, & have no excuses. i’m using the tools I’ve learned 2 move forward rather than backwards, & will B open 2 talking abt the details in the days 2 come. i’m confident that thr will B further understanding when the facts R revealed, & feel vry blessed 4 all of the support, esp from my friends & family.”
While people on Twitter often use abbreviations to cram as much as possible into an 140-character status update, Leaf used an application which let him link out to another site without a character limit.
That’s why it a little strange that the former Washington State great and San Diego Chargers No. 2 overall draft pick decided he needed to communicate the world phonetically instead of spelling out words.
