It was reported on Friday that three members of the Denver Broncos have received suspensions due to violating NFL drug policies. Two of the suspended players will be filing lawsuits against the league.
Judge Dismisses D.J. Williams’ Complaint Against NFL
After he was suspended by the NFL for six games for failing a drug test, Broncos linebacker D.J. Williams filed a complaint against the NFL in an effort to overturn the suspension. On Thursday, a federal judge dismissed Williams’ compliant.
Williams was originally suspended when the NFL alleged he provided a non-human specimen in a drug test. Williams claimed the specimen he submitted was not properly safeguarded and processed. Williams filed the compliant hoping a federal judge would overturn the suspension do to procedural errors.
