Leonard Pope has played for Todd Haley in five of his six NFL seasons and it looks like he'll make it six of seven. The Pittsburgh Steelers announced on Tuesday that they've signed the former Arizona Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs tight end to a one-year contract. Haley replaced Bruce Arians this offseason as the Steelers offensive coordinator.

Pope understands Haley’s offense, having been in it for the last five seasons, which gives him an advantage when it comes to actually making the regular-season roster.

Pope stands 6-foot-8 and will provide a huge target for Ben Roethlisberger, but he's not much of a receiver; his career bests came last season with 24 receptions for 247 yards. You can expect him to help keep Roethlisberger's jersey clean, though, as he's a decent blocker.

The Cardinals originally selected Pope out of Georgia in the third round of the 2006 NFL draft.
