Jake Ballard Injury: Giants TE Faces Long Recovery
Jake Ballard suffered a knee injury during Super Bowl XLVI. The New York Giants TE is still facing a long period of rehabilitation following surgery.

Jeff Roberts of The Record reports that Ballard is looking at a long recovery from his injury.
He likely faces eight or nine months of rehabilitation for his rebuilt ACL. The microfracture surgery could add another six weeks because he has been unable to put weight on the leg, according to Dr. Alexis Colvin, attending orthopedic surgeon at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in Manhattan.
Ballard recently came off crutches and will not begin jogging until June or July. The tight end has been re-signed by the Giants but could potentially miss significant playing time in the 2012 season.
