It appears as though the NFL teams aren’t the only entities getting their ducks in a row for the upcoming 2012 football season. ESPN’s Monday Night Football has announced that it will be bringing a new face to its on-air crew in the fall.
Lisa Salters Joins Monday Night Football Crew
The Monday Night Football crew will be getting a new member this season. Lisa Salters joins the program in 2012 as its new sideline reporter.

According to Bill Hofheimer of ESPN Front Row, Lisa Salters will join Monday Night Football as the show’s new sideline reporter this season, joining play-by-play announcer Mike Tirico and color analyst Jon Gruden. Tirico offered the following statement in response to the news:
“Lisa and I have worked on the same NBA crew for most of the last five years and she is a true pro, solid journalist and always makes the broadcast better. Lisa is a great addition to our Monday Night Football team and we look forward to her joining us this season.”
Salters was previously been the sideline reporter for Sunday Night Football. She has been with ESPN since 2000, during which time her reporting has been featured on Outside the Lines and E:60. She also serves as a lead reporter for ESPN on ABC’s NBA coverage.
