The Denver Broncos on Friday afternoon announced the released of cornerback Andre Goodman, who had been with the team since the start of the 2009 season. Since the Broncos picked up Tracy Porter in free agency, Goodman's release can't come as a surprise.

Goodman was due over $8 million in the next two seasons, including $4.6 million in 2012. He’ll be 34 years old next season and his performance has clearly dropped. He becomes a free agent available to sign with any team.

Goodman was originally drafted by the Lions in the third round of the 2002 NFL draft. He spent four seasons in Detroit before moving onto the Miami Dolphins for three seasons. He spent the last three seasons as a starter for the Broncos.
