Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Terrance Knight suffered an eye injury in an incident in a Jacksonville nightclub a little over a week ago and had to have emergency surgery. There was some concern that the season could be in jeopardy for the fourth year defensive tackle, who is a starter on the Jaguars defensive line. On Monday the Jaguars held a media luncheon to discuss the upcoming NFL Draft, but head coach Mike Mularkey revealed Knighton could be out of action until around August.

Knighton has dealt with weight issues in the past, coming into the offseason program overweight the past two seasons, but by all accounts was much lighter than he had been in the past. It’s unknown at this time how much Knighton will be able to work out with his eye injury, but Mike Mularkey indicated the team will be monitoring his weight while he is recovering from the injury.
