The Dallas Cowboys made perhaps the surprise of the first round of the 2012 NFL draft when they traded up from the 14th pick all the way to the sixth pick to select LSU's Morris Claiborne, the top cornerback in the draft. Claiborne is likely an immediate starter for the Cowboys, who also signed CB Brandon Carr to a $50 million deal in free agency.

With two top cornerbacks on the roster, the Cowboys are now shopping CB Mike Jenkins, according to several reports. Jenkins was a first round pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, but he's now less useful in Dallas thanks to the offseason moves this year.

The Cowboys are smart to beef up in the secondary considering they play Eli Manning and the New York Giants twice a year. In addition to that. they're also now facing Robert Griffin III twice a year.

It’s unclear what kind of compensation the Cowboys are looking for in exchange for Jenkins.
