Lions RB Mikel Leshoure was suspended the first two games of the regular season by the NFL.

Leshoure missed all of his rookie season with an ACL tear. He expects to be 100 percent by the start of the regular season, but could have a tough time regaining favor from the coaching staff thanks to his rocky offseason.

It could have been much worse for Leshoure. He originally faced felony charges because it was his second arrest for possession within four weeks. He was arrested previously on Feb. 18. Leshoure was found cramming the marijuana into his mouth at the time of his second arrest.
A 2nd-round pick by the Lions in 2011, Leshoure is not out of the woods yet. He still faces discipline from the league, which could be stiffer since he doubled up on the arrests this year. The NFL can suspend him for as many as four games this season.
