One of the picks in the recent 2012 NFL draft has fallen victim to some terrible luck before he has even been able to play a professional game.
49ers 5th-Round Pick Darius Fleming Tears ACL At Minicamp
Rookie Darius Fleming may be out for the season before even seeing an NFL snap. The fifth-round pick tore his ACL at 49ers minicamp on Friday.

Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports that Darius Fleming, a fifth-round pick for the San Francisco 49ers, has torn his ACL. The injury, suffered in Fleming's first practice at San Francisco's rookie minicamp on Friday, will likely cause him to miss the entire 2012 season. Andy Simms, Fleming's agent, said that while the ACL was torn, no other ligaments were, which means his client could face a "relatively uncomplicated" road back to seeing action.
The linebacker played his college ball as a member of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The one bit of good news for Fleming in all of this is that he inked his four-year contract with the team a day before he suffered the injury. The contract is reportedly worth $2.264 million.
