Bucs Trade Kellen Winslow To Seahawks

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers hope to have a rebound season in 2012 or, at the very least, a rebuilding one. It will be hard to do worse than their 10-game losing streak that wrapped up their 2011 season. The Bucs have a lot of decisions to make during the offseason and they have already made some significant moves. Their latest move: trading tight end Kellen Winslow to the Seattle Seahawks for an unconditional pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

The official Seahawks website reported the news Monday. The Seahawks -- who also have plenty of work to do this offseason -- were interested in picking up a tight end this offseason and can now cross one item off their “to-do” list.

Winslow is the son of Hall of Famer Kellen Winslow and has been in the NFL since 2004. He had played with Tampa Bay since 2009 and the Seahawks become his third team. Winslow has 4,836 career yards and 23 touchdowns on 437 catches.

Colts star Dallas Clark will replace Winslow in Tampa Bay. The 33-year-old has spent nine years in Indianapolis and played in only 11 games last season because of injuries.
