The San Francisco 49ers have made plenty of moves this offseason as they continue to attempt to assemble the best possible team for another run at the playoffs. One aspect of these offseason moves is retaining key players.

Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area reports that the Niners have agreed to a contract extension with punter Andy Lee. Although no specifics of the deal are currently available, the contract is believed to be in the range of $4 million per year.

Lee has been with the 49ers his entire professional career. He was drafted in the sixth round out of Pittsburgh in the 2004 NFL Draft and has been a fixture of San Francisco special teams ever since. He has been named a three-time All-Pro and a three-time Pro Bowl Selection and won the Golden Toe Award in 2011. Lee holds the all-time franchise record for punting yards.
