LaDainian Tomlinson ‘95 Percent’ Sure He’ll Retire

Former San Diego Chargers and New York Jets running back LaDainian Tomlinson is currently a free agent and there hasn't been much reported interest in the 32-year old back. The lack of interest isn't much of a surprise, as older running backs tend to be late pick ups due to injury, not offseason signings. According to SI's Jim Trotter, Tomlinson says he's "95 percent" sure that he will retire from the NFL.

As Trotter notes, Tomlinson could still play if the right situation arises, but it would most likely have to be in a back up/complimentary role, which is what Tomlinson did for the New York Jets the past two seasons.

If Tomlinson is indeed calling it quits, he will go out as one of the most productive running backs to ever play in the NFL. He would end his career with 13,684 total rushing yards which is fifth all-time. Tomlinson also has 145 rushing touchdowns in his career which is second all-time.
