Peyton Manning’s Arm Strength Still Not 100 Percent

The Denver Broncos took the field on Tuesday for their first practice of a three-day minicamp and new quarterback Peyton Manning might not have had the strongest arm at practice for the first time in quite a while. The former league MVP is still recovering from the issues that kept him out all of last season.

“I still have a lot of work to do,” Manning told USA TODAY Sports’ Jim Corbett on Tuesday. “Last season being injured was new for me. I thought I had a good attitude about it and tried to handle it the best I could. Certainly, it feels good to be back out on the field.

“I continue to rehab. I have work to do and progress that I still need to make.”

By all accounts Manning looked accurate and to form, but he is still focusing on rehabilitating the nerve damage in the triceps of his throwing arm and getting stronger. Manning’s arm is plenty strong enough to make all of the necessary throws, but he feels it can get stronger.
