Dez Bryant was arrested on Monday following a Saturday incident in which the Dallas Cowboys receiver pushed his mother, according to a report from Tim MacMahon of ESPNDallas.com. The Star-Telegram reports that the woman was actually his fiancee, and not his mother, but that's not completely clear yet. Bryant faces a misdemeanor domestic violence charge following the incident.

Here are the alleged details, via ESPNDallas:
A source said late Monday night that Bryant, in an argument with his half brother, wound up pushing his mother, Angela. According to the source, police responded to a call on Saturday night, but no arrests were made at that point. Further examination of the reports resulted in Monday’s arrest, the source said.
The Star-Telegram’s version is similar but with the fiancee and not his mother.
So then Bryant was charged with assaulting a female family member, a Class A misdemeanor. As usual, there’s probably more to the story here but Bryant’s camp, including agent Drew Rosenhaus, has been quiet to this point.
Police are not confirming the details of the arrest nor that the woman, who did not need to go to the hospital for injuries, was Bryant’s mother.
This is Bryant’s first arrest but not his first incident. Earlier this year he was detained at a nightclub following an alleged incident. Last year he was kicked out of the mall by off-duty officers for reportedly sagging and using bad language. He’s also been sued for debts.
We’ll let the legal system play out before pointing the finger at Bryant for this particular incident, but NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell doesn’t have to wait. Other players have had numerous incidents without arrest and still faced Goodell’s wrath. Bryant could be hearing from Goodell sometime soon.
