Marshawn Lynch’s Arrest History Could Lead To Suspension

Marshawn Lynch's DUI might end up costing the newly re-signed running back some playing time. Lynch has already received a suspension once in his career after a weapons charge, and he had his drivers' license revoked in 2009 after hitting a pedestrian -- a history which could result in Lynch receiving punishment from the NFL, says Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com.

The NFL does not typically suspend players for a first DUI offense, but Lynch’s prior history puts him at greater risk for a suspension. The details surrounding Lynch’s arrest are crucial and have yet to come out.

We all know Roger Goodell is no stranger to handing out punishments. Lynch -- who signed a four-year, $31 million contract with the Seahawks in March -- will almost definitely be penalized somehow, and judging from his past, it’s unlikely to be a mere slap on the wrist.
