It remains to be seen whether or not Dez Bryant committed a criminal act before he was arrested on Monday, but it sounds like he knows he at least did something wrong. His adviser David Wells spoke about Bryant and the incident, with the quotes passed along by the Dallas News.
Dez Bryant ‘Very Remorseful’ Over Arrest, According To Adviser
“He’s very remorseful,” Wells said of Bryant. “He loves his mom to death. And that’s about it. No one wants to be in a situation like this. No one wants to go to jail.”
Bryant allegedly assaulted his mother as part of the incident that got him arrested on a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence, which could net him potential jail time if he is convicted. The NFL could punish Bryant under its personal conduct policy, and NFL spokesman Michael Signora said that the league is “aware of [Bryant’s arrest] and it will be reviewed as appropriate.”
