While the DWI arrest of St. Louis Rams defensive end Robert Quinn happened nearly two weeks ago, the news is just now being reported on. Shortly after the news was made public, the team released a statement addressing the issue.

Here is the official statement released by the Rams on Thursday:

“The Rams and the NFL office are aware of the situation regarding Robert Quinn. We take such matters very seriously, and we will act accordingly once the legal process plays out.”

Quinn immediately posted bond following his arrest on July 10 and was released, but is being charged with DWI and two other traffic violations. After the legal proceedings are finished, he could face additional punishment from the Rams. If the delay between his arrest and the reporting of the arrest is the result of any sort of attempt to keep the incident under wraps by Quinn, the Rams will likely not look too favorably on that.
