Josh Gordon Expected To Enter NFL Supplemental Draft

Though the NFL has yet to confirm the date, reports say the Supplemental Draft is expected to take place on July 12. The agent for TCU’s Ed Wesley has confirmed that he will enter the Supplemental Draft, and another report from Adam Caplan states that former Baylor wide receiver Josh Gordon will also enter his name into the Supplemental Draft.

Gordon last played in 2010 when he had 42 receptions for 714 yards for Baylor.

Gordon (6-4, 225), who did not play last season after transferring to Utah, is known in scouting circles for his prototype size and athletic ability. Gordon had to sit out last season due to NCAA transfer rules. He was suspended by Baylor for the 2011 season due to violation of team rules.

Other players are expected to eventually enter their names into the Supplemental Draft.

The Supplemental Draft is for those players who did not enter the regular draft and whose status has changed since then, usually because of academic or disciplinary reasons.
