The San Diego Chargers beefed up their defensive line with less than a week until the team starts training camp. On Friday, the Chargers announced that they signed free agent defensive tackle Aubrayo Franklin to a one-year contract.
Chargers Sign DT Aubrayo Franklin
The San Diego Chargers added some depth to their defensive line, signing free agent defensive tackle Aubrayo Franklin.

Franklin, 32, spent last season with the New Orleans Saints, miscast in the Saints' four-man front. In San Diego, Franklin will move back to the nose tackle position in the Chargers' 3-4 defense.
Antonio Garay, 32, enters camp as the starting nose tackle in San Diego. Behind him, the Chargers have Cam Thomas, entering his third season in the league. Franklin will push both players for playing time, and gives the rotation some established depth.
Originally a fifth-round pick by the Baltimore Ravens, Franklin spent the first four years of his career there before joining the San Francisco 49ers for another four seasons. New Orleans signed him to a one-year deal last August.
