The Chicago Bears got off to a strong start in 2011 and appeared to be in serious contention for a playoff spot, but their postseason hopes were derailed late in the year by injuries to Jay Cutler and Matt Forte. Both players are healthy and Forte has a brand new contract, inspiring confidence that this season is going to be better than last season for the Bears. They begin their training camp on July 25, just south of Chicago in Bourbonnais, IL.
Chicago Bears Training Camp Opens July 25
Not only are the Bears optimistic about their season because their stars are getting healthy, but because of the pieces they've added. Brandon Marshall and rookie Alshon Jeffery should upgrade their passing attack immediately, while first round pick Shea McClellin is expected to start on defense and boost the pass rush right off the bat.
