Dallas Cowboys Training Camp Gets Underway Sunday

The Dallas Cowboys will open up training camp Sunday and will be among the last teams in the league to do so, trying to bounce back from a disappointing 8-8 season that saw them fall short of making the playoffs. Though Tony Romo, Jason Witten, Miles Austin and DeMarcus Ware will all be back, much of the focus on training camp will be on the new faces in town.

The top of that list is Morris Claiborne, the LSU cornerback for whom the 'Boys traded way up in the draft to the sixth overall pick to acquire. Though Claiborne has yet to sign his rookie contract, and he's recovering from wrist surgery, NFL.com's Gregg Rosenthal reports he's expected to attend training camp.

Claiborne is one of a trio of newcomers to the Cowboys revamped defensive backfield, along with cornerback Brandon Carr and safety Brodney Pool. On the offense, all remains essentially unchanged, with the exception of sophomore running back DeMarco Murray playing with the first team and Felix Jones with the second.
