The Philadelphia Eagles are clearly in the search for a tight end, and part of that will include visiting with a pair this week. The Eagles already talked with free agent tight end Visanthe Shiancoe, according to reports, and they'll do the same with free agent Jeremy Shockey on Wednesday.

After visiting with Visanthe Shiancoe, the Eagles will host Jeremy Shockey.

CBSSports.com reports that Shockey will take a physical with the team. It’s not clear how interested they are in him, but bringing in two tight ends in a week shows how they feel about the position right now.
It's possible that the Eagles are just keeping tabs on the health of Shiancoe and Shockey in case something happens to Brent Celek. Teams do that often so that if a player is injured during a game, they can quickly find the next person on their short list.
The Eagles start camp later this week, and by then we’ll see if they bring in one of these tight ends.
