NFL training camps are the mark of a new beginning with the regular season only a month away. Teams get on the field for the first time this year, check out their rookies, along with their other new players and coaches.
Houston Has The Worst NFL Training Camp Weather
Training camp is also notable for how miserable the weather tends to be. July and August are a pair of the hottest months of the year and tens of thousands of fans across the country will make the trek to their team’s training camp and bake out in the sun.
The Weather Channel rounded up the training camps with the worst weather and the Texans are totally screwed, with Houston landing at No. 1.
The dew point measures how comfortable one feels due to the amount of moisture in the air. Typically, dew points in the mid 60s are considered muggy and the lower to mid 70s oppressive. Higher dew points do not allow for much evaporation of perspiration from the skin.
The Texans camp falls under the "oppressive" category at 74.5.
Three Florida teams are in the top five -- Miami Dolphins (2), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3) and Jacksonville Jaguars (5). The Saints and that Louisiana weather are No 4. On the other end of the spectrum, the Raiders have the best weather.
If your city is on here, let us know in the comments if the weather really is that bad.
