So How Did Drew Brees Celebrate His $100 Million Saints Contract?

After months of back-and-forth with the New Orleans Saints and threats of skipping training camp, the drama ended quickly earlier this month when Drew Brees became the highest-paid player in the NFL. How does an NFL superstar celebrate that sort of thing, you ask?

“The minute I got off the phone (after agreeing to terms with the New Orleans Saints), I changed Bowen’s poopy diaper, then I went downstairs and did a load of whites in the washer and then I went upstairs and put Baylen’s lunch away in the refrigerator,” Brees said during his Tuesday press conference. “That was pretty much standard operation in the offseason, so nothing changed.”

This is just your regularly scheduled reminder that Drew Brees is a unicorn and a puppy and Barack Obama and Captain America all blended together into a regular ol’ American male, stuck with household chores just like everybody else. And I mean, no, we have no idea whether he’s really as great as seems, but goddamnit, I want to believe. They don’t call him Breesus for nothing, you know?
