Riley Cooper Injury: Eagles WR Suffers Broken Collarbone In Training Camp, According To Report

Riley Cooper reportedly suffered a broken collarbone in Eagles training camp on Saturday.

The Eagles are no strangers to injury: Michael Vick getting banged up helped derail their playoff chances in the 2011 campaign. But Riley Cooper's training camp injury is certainly not a good sign for their 2012.

SB Nation’s Eagles blog, Bleeding Green Nation, reports that Cooper fractured his collar bone at Eagles training camp and is expected to miss significant time, as much as several months.

Bleeding Green Nation explains what this means for the Eagles.

On offense, it probably means good things for rookie Marvin McNutt. At 6-3, 216 he’s almost identical in size to Cooper and he was far more productive in college than Cooper ever was. So there’s good reason to believe he could at least duplicate Cooper’s contributions on offense, if not exceed them. The big difference between the two is obviously that McNutt is a rookie while Cooper was entering his 3rd season in the offense.
