Kansas City Chiefs offensive tackle Tony Ugoh has decided to retire from the NFL. Ugoh was a 2007 second round pick by the Indianapolis Colts. He's only 28 years old yet decided to call it quits.

Ugoh was signed by the Chiefs last weekend as they started training camp. He was expected to compete for the Chiefs’ third offensive tackle spot but that won’t be happening now. Ugoh even attended the Chiefs walk-through on Monday morning and decided to retire before their practice later that afternoon.

Considering the Chiefs had a 2012 third round pick competing for the same position as him, Ugoh may have considered his chances of making the team as fairly slim.

Ugoh spent two seasons as the primary starter at left tackle blocking for Peyton Manning in Indianapolis. Ugoh also appeared in three games with the Giants last year.
