The Green Bay Packers may have found their running back. Free agent Cedric Benson is expected to sign with the team soon, says Chris Mortensen of ESPN.

Green Bay entered training camp a little light at the running back position. James Starks has been the go-to back in camp so far, but he has struggled. Alex Green is recovering from a torn ACL.

Benson will not be leaned on much at 29-years-old, but he should find some room to run in an offense centered around Aaron Rodgers and a lethal passing attack. Details of the expected arrangement were not reported at the time.

Benson rushed for 1,067 yards last season with six touchdowns. He averaged 3.9 yards per carry on 273 attempts.
