Injuries hit the Cincinnati Bengals hard in Friday night's preseason game against the New York Jets, a costly 17-6 win. Starters Carlos Dunlap, Rey Maualuga, Taylor Mays and Travelle Wharton all left the game with injuries. On Saturday, the Bengals reported that the team fears the worst for Wharton, who could be out for the season.
Travelle Wharton Injury: Bengals Fear The Worst
The Cincinnati Bengals fear that they may have lost guard Travelle Wharton to a season-ending knee injury in their preseason opener.

Wharton, a free agent addition from the Carolina Panthers this season, left the game with a knee injury, the first of the four players to leave the field. He was later seen on the sidelines leaning into a pair of crutches, looking disappointed. Details on Wharton's injury have not been released, but the team said on its website that Wharton could be done for the year.
Maualuga and Dunlap suffered knee sprains. The linebacker says that he should be back on the practice field this week, but Dunlap had no update on his status.
