Tra Thomas Will Retire As An Eagle This Week

Tra Thomas will officially retire as an Eagle on Thursday.

On Monday morning, former Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Tra Thomas announced via his official Twitter account that he will be retiring as an Eagle on Thursday.

Thomas was drafted by the Eagles with the No. 11 overall selection in the 1998 NFL Entry Draft and went on to play in in five NFC Championship games, three Pro Bowls and a Super Bowl during his tenure in Philadelphia.

After leaving the Eagles following the 2008 season, Thomas spent a year with the Jacksonville Jaguars prior to a stint with the San Diego Chargers in 2010, which was cut short due to his retirement prior to the start of the season.

He joined Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia in 2011 as a post-game analyst.
