Ahmad Bradshaw Injury: X-Rays Negative

New York Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw exited Saturday's game against the New York Giants for x-rays on his hand, according to Mike Garafolo of NJ.com. Bradshaw exited early in the second quarter with the Giants leading the Jets 3-0.

Bradshaw, who rushed for 72 yards in the Giants' Super Bowl win over the New England Patriots last season, had only three carries for two yards before leaving the game.

While the extent of Bradshaw’s injury is unknown, Garafolo has also reported the following:

Ahmad Bradshaw coming out of the locker room and headed toward the bench. Nothing on his hands. -Twitter

Bradshaw's issue seems to be right around the bottom knuckle of his index finger. That's where they keep pointing. -Twitter

While offensive linemen can put a padded club over hands, it’s obvious that a running-back’s hands are vital to his success.

The Giants currently lead the Jets 6-0 with 10:00 left in the 2nd quarter on two field goals from Lawrence Tynes.

UPDATE: (August 18, 8:20 PM ET): X-Rays were negative
