Redskins Vs. Bears Final Score: Kirk Cousins-Led Comeback Falls Just Short As Chicago Wins, 33-31

A furious fourth quarter rally led by Washington Redskins rookie quarterback Kirk Cousins fell just short Saturday night, as the Redskins lost 33-31 in a preseason matchup with the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.

Cousins entered the second half for the Redskins down 20-10 and quickly found himself down 30-10 before tossing three fourth quarter touchdowns to three different receivers, including a 49-yard scoring strike to Aldrick Robinson and a 20-yard touchdown to Dezmon Briscoe four seconds prior to the two-minute warning.

Cousins' performance overshadowed that of fellow rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III, who had an uneven game playing behind an overmatched offensive line. Griffin was sacked three times and finished 5-for-8 for 49 yards passing, but he also flashed his speed with 17 yards on three carries.

For the Bears, both starting quarterback Jay Cutler and backup Jason Campbell played well, each completing more than half of their passes for 122 and 141 yards, respectively.

Both teams scored special teams touchdowns, the Redskins on a 91-yard punt return by Brandon Banks in the second quarter and the Bears on a 105-yard kickoff return by Lorenzo Booker to begin the second half.
