Chiefs Vs. Rams Final Score: Sam Bradford Sharp As St. Louis Topples Kansas City 31-17
The Rams looked sharp in their second game of the preseason, scoring 14 quick points off two Sam Bradford touchdown passes before breaking the game open in the second half.
Rams quarterback Sam Bradford was 6-of-9 for 102 yards and two touchdowns, easing concerns about his injured ankle, while Steven Jackson would add 49 yards on the ground on seven carries.
Matt Cassel, under new coordinator Brian Daboll, looked just as sharp in the first half, as he went 13-of-18 for 142 yards. The Chiefs were sabotaged by early mistakes, including a fumble on the offense's second play of the game, before pulling to within 17-10 at the half behind a Peyton Hillis one-yard touchdown run and a late field goal drive by Cassel.
The Rams would add two rushing touchdowns by Isaiah Pead and Daryl Richardson to take a 31-10 lead in the second half.
Brady Quinn, fighting for the backup spot behind Cassel for the Chiefs, was 5-of-6 for 70 yards and a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
