Orakpo was attempting to make a tackle in the first quarter before hurting himself and staying down for several moments. Eventually, he left the field with the training staff and didn’t return to the game at any point.
The injury is worrisome especially because it occurred to the same pectoral muscle that required surgery following last years season finale.

Washington Redskins linebacker Brian Orakpo will not return to Saturday night’s preseason game against the Chicago Bears after suffering an apparent injury to his left shoulder while trying to make a lunging tackle on Bears wide receiver Devin Hester late in the first quarter.
Hester, who had caught a pass from quarterback Jay Cutler, evaded Orakpo on the way to an 18-yard gain to Chicago’s 38-yard-line with 3:50 left to play in the quarter.
