Yahoo! Sports is reporting that a current advisor for Dallas Cowboys star Dez Bryant is alleging that he was offered a cash payment and a trip to Miami by NFL agent Drew Rosenhaus in return for Bryant signing with Rosenhaus.

David Wells, who has been advising Bryant since his pre-draft days, told Yahoo! that Rosenhaus sent him text messages leading up to the 2010 NFL Draft.

Wells, whom Bryant lived with in high school and parts of college, showed Y! Sports a series of text messages from an apparent Rosenhaus phone number starting in mid-December 2009 and ending in January 2010. In one of the messages, Rosenhaus allegedly offers Wells $10,000 to donate to a charity he works with.

If it were true, the offer would be a violation of the NFL Player Association’s regulations of agents.

Questioned by Yahoo! in an interview, Rosenhaus refused to comment and said it was due to client-agent privacy. Wells said he came forward because he believes such solicitations take advantage of athletes.

Bryant first signed with agent Eugene Parker, but later hired Rosenhaus. He fired Rosenhaus as an agent on Aug. 3, according to Yahoo!
