Arizona Cardinals quarterback John Skelton has been named the starter for this week's preseason matchup with the Tennessee Titans, Mike Jurecki of XTRA 910 reports. Skelton will be replacing Kevin Kolb as the starter, although Kolb should still get a chance to play with the starting lineup.
John Skelton Gets The Nod For Cardinals Against Titans
John Skelton will replace Kevin Kolb as the preseason starter for the Arizona Cardinals against the Tennessee Titans.

Kolb had a very inconsistent performance in last week's preseason matchup with the Oakland Raiders. After a solid opening drive where he led his team to a touchdown, Kolb sputtered from that point on when the Raiders brought the pass rush. Tommy Kelly of the Oakland Raiders remarked that Kolb looked 'scared' when he got sacked by him and a few of his Raider teammates during the first half.
Also of note from Jurecki: DJ Young will start at left tackle and D'Anthony Batiste will open at right tackle, although Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt indicated he'd like to see Batiste at left tackle at some point.
The Cardinals will play their fourth preseason game on Thursday night against the Titans. That game can be seen on ESPN at 8 PM Eastern Time and can be listened to on Sirius Stations 88 (Arizona) and 137 (Tennessee).
