Teams Are Calling But Jaguars Aren’t ‘Actively’ Trying To Trade Maurice Jones-Drew

Other NFL teams are interested in acquiring Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew, but the Jaguars say they are not trying to trade him, according to a tweet by Ian Rapaport.

Maurice Jones-Drew is coming off a season where he rushed for an NFL-leading 1,606 yards with eight touchdowns. He still has two years left on a contract he signed back in 2009, when he replaced former Jaguar Fred Taylor as the featured back. Though he has been open to making amends with the team, he may not be ready for week one if he waits much longer.
